Here’s Chiquita’s report:
Our weather was beautiful and the turnout amazing. The Greek Life from Albany State University did a Step Show and Albany Commissioner John Hayes spoke. I made my way over to the Senator and Congressman to show them our postcards.
Senator Warnock then showed the postcards to his manager and said, “Wow! This is an excellent way to get constituents to vote.” He said the postcards are great and he appreciates this idea.
Congressmen Bishop said, “I appreciate your committee’s work and effort to keep us in office.”
They both said thank you several times and were clearly moved by our postcards. I told them the cards are the brain child of Anita’s Peach Corps, and we who volunteer are of all ages, and races, working to keep them in office.
